For instance, there are One-Handed Melee, Guns, Two-Handed Melee and Rifles. Weapons fall into subcategories inside their Melee and Ranged categories as well. The names of crafted weapons are made up by the combination of their parts. For now let’s focus on these Weapons because they will be the vast majority of Weapons you will use in Biomutant. Some examples of regular Weapons are the Cane Stronkbox and the Singularity Squezerapster, which are essentially named via the combination of their parts (much like how Fallout 4 named its Weapons).
Neither of these Weapons can be Modified with Addons nor Upgraded with better Quality or Materials. Some examples of Unique Weapons are the Klonkfist, and the Myriad Boomerang. First, there are actually two different types of Weapons in Biomutant, and those are Tribe Weapons that cannot be Modified, and regular Weapons that only exist as a sum of their parts. Weapons work in a somewhat similar nature to Armor, but there are some key differences. Additionally, you can unlock Dual Wielding for both Ranged and Melee Weapons, if you prefer this style of play. This allows you to switch between Melee and Ranged combat at will when you are fighting, and adds fluidity. In Biomutant you will be able to equip one Ranged Weapon and one Melee Weapon at the same time. One piece of advice, always hang on to your parts until you are absolutely sure what you want to do! #Biomutant ultimate weapons upgrade
You will have to make choices about which Armor to use, and where to spend your Upgrade parts in order to succeed, and this is not always easy to do. If you increase the Quality and Material high enough, the Rarity of the item will increase. This will cost you parts, just like the Addons, and will increase the Stats of the Armor piece. Once there you will select the slot and the specific Armor piece you wish to Modify. Though you can slot Addons on the fly, you will need to locate a Gearwear Upgrade Bench in order to improve the Quality or Material of your Armor.
You can Modify your Armor anywhere from the Craft tab, but you need the parts in the Crafting Cost section to Craft. You cannot Craft Armor directly, but instead must acquire it and then “Mod ify” it by Upgrading it, or slotting Addons That doesn’t mean that you cannot find or buy higher Rarity items, because you can, it just means that a lot of equipment can become Ultimate with enough upgrading.Īrmor protects you from non-hazardous damage, and can be obtained from looting enemies, looting chests and containers, or by purchasing it from vendors around the game. And since you can increase the Quality, Material and Addons of your gear, the Rarity of your equipment will increase as you progress the game. That is to say the better the Weapon or Armor is, the higher its Rarity will be. Rarity in Biomutant is a summation of the Quality, Material and Addons of the Weapon or Armor in question. This prevents you from becoming too OP early on should you find some really good gear, and also means where you spend your Attribute Points will dictate some of the gear you can use.Įvery piece of Armor in Biomutant has 3 qualifiers that define it: Rarity, Quality and Material. The better the Armor, the higher these requirements generally are. You will not be able to equip a piece of Armor if you do not meet ALL of its requirements. You can equip any Armor you acquire, but some Armor has level requirements, some has Attribute requirements, and some have both. However, you cannot Modify Back or Face Armor, nor Upgrade it, and instead must find or purchase the best ones you can. In Biomutant you will have 7 slots for Armor: Head, Face, Torso, Right Shoulder, Left Shoulder, Back, and Legs.
